Medical air is mainly supplied via a medical gas pipeline system where the air is manufactured as required using compressors. Medical air gas cylinders are used as the independent back-up supply to the pipeline system. Used for driving ventilators and incubators, where it provides uncontaminated and controlled air flows helping to reduce high concentration of oxygen exposure A carrier gas for anaesthetic agents A power source for driving surgical tools. Avaiable in 4 sizes. A restricted product

Industrial grade Air gas cylinders size W,Y and X are filled to 230 bar (size J is filled to 137 bar) and like all BOC cylinder packages we supply options to support customer usage levels or particular working environments and applications. Please view the compressed air cylinder size chart above. For customers needing significant on-site capacity BOC’s Manifolded Cylinder Pallet (MCP) is the ideal solution. The MCP securely houses 15 cylinders in a robust, compact steel frame and can provide 152.38m3 of gas. Compressed air supports combustion and when combined with a fuel gas produces a flame with a lower temperature than an oxy-fuel flame. An air-fuel flame is ideal for brazing and soldering lower-temperature alloys and can also be used in carbon coating processes as it offers effective levels of adjustment, enabling the thickness of the carbon coat to be varied. Industrial air must never be used for medical purposes. Odourless, colourless and non-toxic Does not burn but supports combustion When it is combined with a fuel gas, produces a flame with a lower temperature than an oxy-fuel flame The air-fuel flame is suitable for brazing and soldering applications with lower-temperature alloys Used in preference to oxygen in the carbon coating processes because it gives a greater level of adjustment, allowing the thickness of the carbon coat to be varied 230bar cylinders
